Nicholas Alexander is a driven, creative visual artist from Hampton, Virginia. Drawing since the age of four, he knew he had a talent for the arts and continued to strengthen his abilities throughout his childhood. In college, he studied graphic design and painting, where he won many design awards as well as an NAACP Award for Fine Arts.
He loves to inspire the younger generation through storytelling and representation. His illustrations bring memorable expressive characters that can make any picture book shine. Obsessed with cartoons and animation, Nicholas moved to Atlanta to be influenced by the art scene and study new techniques. During his time in Georgia, he did an apprenticeship that pushed him creatively outside of his comfort zone. Nicholas enjoys experimenting with character design and representing different cultures within their design. When he isn’t creating, he spends his days traveling, being inspired by different places.
He has used everything he has been taught to create something of his own. He is the creator of The Tomorrowers, an upcoming children’s book that teaches kids lessons about embracing their imagination. He believes children today should see themselves in books that highlight their amazing personalities, gifts, and individuality.
